Secondary school admissions - September 2026

If your child was born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015 and you live in Cambridgeshire, you’ll need to apply to transfer to secondary school for a place starting in September 2026.

Late applications

Late applications are accepted from 1 November 2025 until 31 March 2026. Any changes to your current preferences during this period will also be treated as late and processed in the late allocation round.

Cambridgeshire residents will be sent their allocations via post on 24 April 2026.

Late applications received between 1 April–31 August 2026 will be processed in date order and offers will be emailed.

Please note: Chesterton Community College and Parkside Community College, in Cambridge, have revised their admissions criteria at the request of the government’s Office of the Schools Adjudicator.

All applications for September 2026 places at these two schools will be allocated against their updated admissions policies.
